Meet Our Executive Team
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Kenneth M. Gregg
Bringing over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, CEO and founder Ken Gregg is pioneering new ways of assessing risk and serving the needs of customers and community. Holding a BS in Economics and an MBA in Finance from UCF, Ken is seen as an industry visionary- winning the 2009 Risk Innovator of the Year. He brings his achievements and experience in management consulting, business development, and risk analytics and applies them to read where the market is, and where it’s going. Ken served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and serves the community in the same fashion.
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Ryan Jesenik
In January 2020, Ryan joined Orion180 full-time to assist in building and scaling the business. He oversees sales and operations at Orion180, bringing extensive experience in scaling and operational growth. Ryan utilizes leadership, advanced analytics, and systematizing business processes to push Orion180 to the forefront and keep us there. In his role as COO, he manages the business analytics with special focus on rate adequacy, territory aggregate capacity management and the profile of the policies in-force. Holding a finance degree from the University of Oregon, Ryan brings the drive and ambition he displayed in corporate finance and capital market roles to Orion180.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Christoph Birchler
Christoph Birchler graduated with a BBA from the Hochschule fuer Wirtschaft und Verwaltung in Zurich and from Syracuse University with a MS in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New York, Connecticut and New Hampshire, and is a member in good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Christoph has spent more than 25 years in Europe and New York operating financial services, focusing on both the insurance and reinsurance industries. He joined Orion180 in December 2021 and serves as its Chief Financial Officer and directs the finance, audit, and treasury functions of the organization.
CHIEF INNOVATION OFFICER
Gautam Moorjani
Gautam Moorjani brings over 20 years of experience leading Product, Operations, and Technology teams in the insurance and financial services industry. He joined Orion180 in January 2024 as the firm’s first Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, Gautam will spearhead Orion180’s efforts to leverage technologies to deliver innovative insurance solutions and provide exceptional customer experience. Before joining Orion180, Gautam held the positions of GM and Chief Product Officer for the Intelligent Automation Solutions business at SS&C Technologies, Partner at PwC, leading Intelligent Automation for Financial Services and Insurance, Chief Operating Officer at WorkFusion, and Managing Director at Markit. Gautam has an M.B.A. from St. Edward’s University and a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
GENERAL COUNSEL
Mark Casteel
Bringing with him a background in business economics as well as law, Mark Casteel is uniquely positioned as Orion180’s General Counsel. Prior to joining us, Mark served for the past fifteen years as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation. Mark has also spent time as a partner in private law firm, General Counsel for Florida Department of Financial Services, and even served as an Executive Assistant to a former Florida Senate President. He brings his keen eye and vast wealth of insurance knowledge and experience to Orion180.
EVP OF ENTERPRISE RISK
Mohammad Javanbarg
Mohammad Javanbarg joined Orion180 in September 2023 as the SVP of Specialty lines. He is an accomplished Risk & Insurance executive with over 20 years of diverse background in (re)insurance industry at global organizations. He has consistently delivered high results driving business growth through the development and execution of commercial and specialty lines underwriting strategy and innovative risk management solutions. Mohammad received his PhD, MSc and BS in Civil Engineering from University of California Berkeley, Kobe University and Tehran Polytechnic, respectively. He holds various professional designations including, CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), ARe (Associate in Reinsurance), and ERM (Enterprise Risk Management).
SVP OF CLAIMS
Mike Gilmer
With a proven track record of leadership, strategic vision, and technical expertise in claims management and administration, Mike Gilmer brings invaluable experience to Orion180. With over 30 years in the insurance space, Mike is incredibly skilled in establishing best practices, field claims operations, compliance, quality assurance, and catastrophe management. Prior to joining Orion180 he served as VP of Claims for well-known industry organizations such as Seibels and Gulfstream Property and Casualty; he has also held several leadership roles with Citizens Property & Casualty and Assurant Specialty Property. His effective leadership and communication style has allowed him to develop strong, collaborative teams in every area of the insurance world. Mike holds a Bachelor’s of Science from East Tennessee State University, is a licensed adjuster in the state of Florida, with several non-resident licenses in other states.
VP OF MARKETING
Dr. Yiguang Qiu
Yiguang Qiu is the VP of Marketing at Orion180. He brings two decades of experience in P&C and life insurance marketing and annuity and mutual funds sales. He leads Orion180’s efforts in optimizing its marketing, public relations, and communications strategies to elevate the Orion180 brand and drive its growth. Previously, as the Senior Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Amica, Qiu played a pivotal role in shaping the award-winning brand’s marketing strategies and operations. He holds an M.S. from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and received the certification for Building and Leading Effective Teams from Columbia Business School Executive Education.
HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Rebecca Reierson
With a strong foundation in labor law and extensive experience in human resources, Rebecca is a versatile professional who combines legal acumen with HR strategy to generate growth and excellence in organizations. Rebecca earned her law degree from DePaul University, and with a career spanning over two decades in the public sector, she consistently demonstrated a commitment to shaping labor relations strategy, fostering employee well-being, and driving organizational success. Rebecca assumed the pivotal role as the Head of Human Resources at Orion180 in 2023.
VP OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Steven Crone
Steven Crone graduated with a BS in Business Management from Shepherd University. He has owned and managed companies in multiple insurance and finance fields since 2002. He was an owner of Justice Title & Escrow from 2005-2012, in which the company was deemed one of the top 15 independent MAST agencies across the country. Steven began to specialize in personal lines insurance beginning in 2013 and got his start as an independent adjuster. He later transitioned to become a regional field adjuster for Ryze Claim Solutions in Tampa, FL. In 2022 Steven was tasked to serve as the VP of Strategic Relationships for Orion180 and is the longest tenured member of the Orion180 Sales Division.

Brandi Wyrick
In 2018, Brandi Wyrick joined Orion180 as one of its pioneering team members. With 15 years of expertise in Customer Service Management, she sparked a transformative journey focused on leadership and culture enhancement. As the AVP of Experience, she leads Internal Training, Customer Support, Underwriting, and Inspections, elevating both user experience and operational excellence. Her influential contributions extend to product development and procedural refinement, fostering an empowered Orion180 team. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Brandi was honored as a 2022 Orion180 Polaris recipient. Holding a degree in Software Development from Tennessee Technical University and actively pursuing a BA in Business Science, she embodies an unwavering dedication to continuous growth and excellence.
